BUSINESS VALUATION AND M&A MARKET

PETER PHALON

The presentation will look at the M&A market that currently exists and changes to the market in recent years including transaction volume and pricing.  The presentation will address the inefficiencies in the market and how to best capitalize on those inefficiencies. The presentation will also include transfer strategies and planning. The attendee will obtain insight into the transaction market and some skills regarding how to capitalize on transaction opportunities.  The attendee will be in a better position to discuss the transaction process with their clients and introduce estate planning ideas that may be implemented in conjunction with a transaction.  Peter Phalon is the Senior Managing Director of Waterview Advisors.  WA is a business valuation and middle market investment banking firm. During his 30 year career, Mr. Phalon has focused exclusively on the valuation of businesses, partnership interests, intangible assets, and other financial interests. His valuations have provided the basis for acquisitions and divestitures, gift and estate planning, business succession planning, goodwill impairment, fairness opinions, purchase price allocation, employee stock ownership plans, general corporate planning, and litigation support.  Mr. Phalon's experience has provided in-depth knowledge of a wide range of industries. Throughout his career, Mr. Phalon has demonstrated the ability to quickly and effectively evaluate complex issues, to focus discussions on key factors, and to communicate his analyses in a manner that often reduces confusion for clients and other professionals.
